This Symposium, gathers researchers, practitioners, stakeholders and students every two years, since 1993. The Plant Water Relations Lisbon 2020 will focus on the themeWater relations under climate change: from genes to ecosystem.

Plant Water Relations Lisbon 2020assembles an inspiring scientific program bringing together contributions and discussions on sustainable water use in agricultural and forest systems for increasing plant productivity and other ecosystem services.
Furthermore, researchers, politicians, and practitioners will discuss in a special session the best water management strategies coping with future warmer conditions and scarcer water resources. Finally, a satellite workshop, will address novel and critical plant phenotyping methodologies related to water relations.

We welcome contributions from a large variety of themes within the scope of plant water relations. These include fundamental and applied research, molecular to remote sensing scales, or policy issues regarding water management. You are also invited to submit your results to a special issue of the Agriculture Water Management journal.

We also want participants to enjoy the social part of the symposium, the city of Lisbon, Oeiras, and a beautiful coastline. Why not take a surf lesson in Carcavelos beach Wednesday afternoon after the end of the symposium?
