Carlos Lopes is an Associate Professor at the School of Agriculture, University of Lisbon, with the teaching activity centered on the area of Viticulture. He has a Degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of �vora; an MSc in Plant Production, and a Ph.D. and Habilitation in Agronomic Engineering from the School of Agriculture. The research activity has been centered on the study of the effects of cultural practices on vine ecophysiology, vegetative growth, yield, and berry composition. His main interests are focused on the understanding of grapevine responses to deficit irrigation and on the use of new technologies to improve the efficiency of vineyard management.
