Teresa Soares David is Researcher at INIAV, the Portuguese National Institute for Agrarian and Veterinarian Research, and a Research Scientist at the Forest Research Centre, School of Agriculture of the University of Lisbon. She is member of the coordination team of the Competence Centre of the Cork Oak and Cork. Her main areas of expertise are ecophysiology and ecohydrology, mainly in what concerns plant water relations. One of the main focus of her research is water use and the responses of forest species to drought, at the plant and ecosystem scales (sources of water uptake, tree hydraulics, root functioning, climate change).
